Japanese Paper Award: Kashiwagi Award (Daiji Kashiwagi Award)
Applicants must be regular members of the JES who are 45 years old or younger at the time of presentation at the JES Annual Meeting. Papers must be presented as the lead author at the society's annual meeting and published in the Journal of the Japan Elbow Society in the same year. Papers that indicated the intention to apply for a paper award at the time of submission to the journal. Free papers are not eligible for inclusion. The applicant is the first author of this study. Applicants who previously received this prize were not eligible for the application.

Application Deadline: The paper must arrive no later than April 30 of the same year. When submitting a paper, indicate your intention to apply for a paper award by the above deadline. The application form was sent to [email protected] with the authors for proofreading. The decision is made around the end of January of the year following the year of application, and the applicant is notified.
The award is presented at the general meeting of the Board of Trustees in the year following the year of application, and the applicant receives a certificate and a supplementary prize.
The Editorial Committee will review the submitted papers and select up to three for the first selection. The Editorial Committee Chair reports the selection results to the Board of Directors, who decides on the winning papers. The following four items were reviewed in the initial selection process:1) Coherence of the paper (Is it clear and concise?), 2 Originality (Is it original?),
3 Substantiality (number of cases, appropriate analytical methods), 4 Usefulness (can future development be expected?).

Kudo Award for English Literature.

Qualifications: Regular members of the JES aged 45 years or younger at the time of publication of this paper. The time of publication is defined as the official publication date when the volume number and pages are assigned for papers published in paper form or when the volume number and pages are assigned for papers published in online journals that do not provide paper form. The papers must have been published between January and December of the year before submission. The paper must be published in an English journal with an impact factor (peer-reviewed paper). The applicant is the first author of this study. The first author must obtain consent from all co-authors before submitting the paper. Only one paper was submitted per person. Applicants who previously received this prize were not eligible for the application.

For the Japanese Paper Award, applicants were requested to indicate their intention to apply when submitting their paper for presentation at the 2024 Annual Meeting, and the application deadline was April 30, 2024.

The English Paper Award call for applications will open in early 2025, and the submission deadline is April 30, 2025.
